E.K. West offers several sustainable, weather resistant options for real wood exterior
siding. Our diversified product line includes hemlock, cedar, pine, & poplar species.
Each of these products provides a variety of different looks to meet your application
needs. These options are available in a variety of profiles, treatments, and finishes:
Shiplap, Tongue & Groove, Nickel Gap, Board & Batten, Wire Brushed, Thermally Modified, Charred, Shou Sugi Ban, Natural Oil Finish .

 Natural Weathered Gray Board

Natural Weathered Gray Board– Reclaimed from cattle barns and fences throughout
the Midwest region. This eastern white pine is prized for having consistent weathering
which produces a nice silver-gray tone. Available in both rough sawn and wire brushed
textures. Specs – 6” / 8” / 10” / 12” widths (long lengths available)

Hemlock – A great option for exterior projects with a consistent, attractive grain pattern.
Eastern hemlock is naturally rot resistant with properties that deter pests and insects.
This product is available in a variety of widths, lengths, & profiles. Our supply includes:
• Air dried hemlock in band sawn texture (character grade)
• Kiln dried hemlock in smooth oil finish (premium grade)

Reclaimed Mix Species– Salvaged from barns and old structures throughout the
Midwest region. This sustainable product has the most character out of any of the
exterior siding options. A mix of pine and poplar barn siding, it has a variety of nail hole,
checks, and ferrous stain characteristics. The mix of different widths and lengths adds
to the appeal of this product.

Cedar  
 Thermally Modified Pine

Cedar – A beautiful exterior product with exceptional resistance to exterior elements
and insects. Western Red Cedar is a premium siding option because of superior
protection, increased home value, and timeless style. Available in select tight knot and
select clear in a variety of finishes: Oiled, Char, Burnished, Yakisugi.

Thermally Modified Pine – A top end exterior siding selection due to its thermal
modification. This process produces a product that is naturally durable for 25 years.
Thermally modified southern yellow pine develops a warm, rich color and unique patina
through its aging process. Thermally modified wood has several benefits: Increased
Weather Resistance, Enhanced Stability, Improved Hardness, Greater Resistance to
Pests, Improved Thermal Insulation.
